10. The Legend of Zelda (Wii U)

For the very first time, Nintendo EAD will develop a high-definition graphics installment of The Legend of Zelda franchise exclusively for the Wii U platform. Packed with improved gameplay and a better storyline, it will be the eighteenth installment of the series.

Much has been done to make it a memorable action-adventure game as designer Eiji Aonuma revealed that it is intended to give players the freedom to decide where they want to go in the open-world environment.

 

9. The Order: 1886 (PS4)

Releasing on February 20 for the PlayStation 4 platform, Ready at Dawn and SCE Santa Monica Studio will make an impact with the innovative beautiful single-player adventure video game, The Order: 1886.

The game will take us back in time to London of alternate history where half-breed monsters – a combination of animals and humans – exist. Several iconic names from the United Kingdom will be in the game as characters such as King Arthur and Thomas Malory.

 

8. Star Wars: Battlefront (PC, PS4, and Xbox One)

It was a concept that inspired generations and a film adaptation considered the very best when it comes to space-exclusive science fiction. Just imagine the marvels it will introduce to video game platforms.

Tying in with the release date of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, Electronic Arts will issue the third part of the Star Wars: Battlefront series for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.

 

7. Mortal Kombat X (PC, PS4/PS3, and Xbox One/Xbox 360)

Arguably the most brutal fighter video game franchise, Mortal Kombat will release its tenth installment in April this year. Environmental attacks, special assaults, and horrific fatalities will return and be much more intensified than ever.

The video game will be unique in the sense that apart from the recurring characters, it will feature a few next-generation offspring fighters of the warriors from the previous installments.

 

6. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (PC, PS4, and Xbox One)

With the settings increased 30 times larger than any of the previous games from the esteemed Witcher franchise, it will be no surprise that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be the best installment yet.

Featuring a responsive environment, dynamic day and night cycle, and realistic artificial intelligence, the witcher Geralt of Rivia must stop the Wild Hunt army from invading the Northern Kingdoms.

 

5. Tom Clancy’s The Division (PC, PS4, and Xbox One)

As New York City falls into misery and society collapses, evacuation is out of the question and it is up to the Division agents to make things right by combating a fatal virus and its creators.

Aimed to release this year and developed by none other than Ubisoft, Tom Clancy’s The Division will definitely be one hell of an amazing survival role-playing shooter game of 2015.

 

4. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End (PS4)

Exclusive to PlayStation 4 platform, developer Naughty Dog is back after four years to take Nathan “Nate” Drake on another story of adventure. Only this time, it involves his believed-to-be-dead brother Sam.

Outlined as “his greatest adventure yet” by Naughty Dog, the brothers must aid each other and work together while finding the fabled treasure of the long-lost pirate colony, Libertatia.

 

3. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (PC, PS4/PS3, and Xbox One/Xbox 360)

Currently, in development by Kojima Productions, the game is a continuation of the epic stealth video game Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. Despite having an unknown release date for this year, the game is still highly awaited by millions of fans.

Set in 1984, the mercenary leader Big Boss aka Venom Snake travels to Africa and Afghanistan during the Soviet War to kill the people who mercilessly destroyed all of his forces.

 

2. Halo 5: Guardians (Xbox One)

When it comes to first-person shooter video games, the Halo franchise is almost untouchable. Equipped with remarkable graphics and a heart-stopping plot, comes the fifth installment of the franchise.

When war breaks out between the colony worlds and Master Chief Petty Officer John-117 goes missing, it is up to Spartan Locke to hunt him down as the very fate of the galaxy rests in his hands.

 

1. Batman: Arkham Knight (PC, PS4, and Xbox One)

With a thirst for vengeance, Dr. Johnathan Crane returns as the Scarecrow and assembles a group of notorious villains from the past of his adversary with only one goal in his mind: kill Batman.

Hitting stores worldwide in just four months, the player has to once again wear the mantle of the Bat and make sure that the citizens of the dreaded Gotham city can freely roam without fear.
