2023 was an epic year for TV series fanatics, with shows like Berlin, One Piece, and The Gilded Age making the small screen. Let’s see what 2024 has installed for us. So without any further ado here we look at the most anticipated TV shows of 2024:

15. Fallout

In an alternate world, after World War II, nuclear sanctions did not take place. Eventually, the world headed deep into nuclear war, thus creating the Wasteland. 200 years later, Lucy steps outside the Vaults and into the bizarre and brutal realities of the Wasteland.

Sounds like the typical post-apocalyptic plot, right? But a lot of people are looking forward to this official TV adaptation of the popular RPG game series with the same name. Guess, we’ll have to watch to find out if it’s worth the hype or not.

14. Shogun

Shogun is a period set drama based on a 1975 novel of the same name. In feudal Japan, Toranaga is a daimyo. The cunning and powerful feudal lord is surrounded by enemies. As his enemies on the Council of Regents unite against him, a mysterious ship from Europe is found lost in a nearby fishing village.

A British sailor, John Blackthorne enters the fray. Let’s wait for 27th Feb to see what the wrecked ship and its sailor bring for the feudal lord.

13. Parish

Taking the front seat in this crime drama is Giancarlo Esposito. You might know him as Gus Fring from Breaking Bad. He plays a taxi driver, Grecian ‘Gray’ Parish, with a dark past. Though he has left that life behind, old habits die hard. When he picks up an unusual passenger his life takes a sharp turn. His internal demons take over when his son is brutally murdered.

The story is a killer on top of that we’ve got Giancarlo Esposito as the lead. Not gonna miss this for the world.

12. The Sympathizer

The Sympathizer is based on a 2016 Pulitzer Prize Fiction winner novel of the same name. It follows the Captain, a North Vietnamese plant in the South Vietnamese army during the Vietnam War. The war ended but not in the head of the captain.

He fled to the US after the war but continued spying on the South Vietnamese. He reported his ‘intel’ about the refugees to the Vietnamese Congress but how long could this charade last? You’d love this comedy, starring the Ironman (Robert Downey Jr.)

11. Mr. and Mrs. Smith

Based on the hit 2005 movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith, this TV show of the same name stars a different cast. We’ll see Donald Glover and Maya Erskine as Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

Expect all the wit, action, comedy, and romance the original movie had to offer. The wardrobe game in the show is fire. We expect to get tons of great fashion inspiration from the show.

10. Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 12

There’s good news and bad news for Larry David Fans. The good news is that Curb Your Enthusiasm is releasing its 12th season in 2024. The bad news is that this will be the last season of this iconic TV show.

Even though we’re saying goodbye to Larry, his misadventures in Los Angeles will be remembered for years to come.

9. Cobra Kai Season 6

The 6th and last season of Kobra Kai, the spinoff series based on Karate Kid, is expected to drop this year.

Karate Kid has a cult following and the Cobra Kai series has much to thank the classic karate movie for its success.

We’ll witness double the action in December 2024 if the finale of Cobra Kai is released with the highly anticipated Karate Kid movie starring Jackie Chan.

8. The Boys Season 4

“Boys will be boys”. Though we haven’t watched the show yet, the amount of Homelander memes is making us curious about it.

Season 4 is highly anticipated this year. With Butcher dethroned from leadership and the team scattered internally, this season is going to have a lot of chaos.

7. The Bear Season 3

Of course, Carmen’s going to get out of the fridge. How else is the show going to move forward? If you don’t know what we’re talking about you probably haven’t seen one of the best American comedy shows of our times.

Bridgeton has made a mark in the historical drama genre. The novel-based drama has made the Regency era fashion ‘in’ again.

Season 3 will be released this year. This season will focus on the booming friends-to-lovers romance between Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgeton. This year’s treat for classic lovers.

5. Genius: MLK/X

The show itself is a genius idea. Looking at the lives of geniuses from different domains. Who wouldn’t like that, huh? The previous seasons of this piece of art covered Albert Einstein, Pablo Picasso, and Aretha Franklin.

This upcoming season will be the first one to compare to historical giants. Martin Luther King and Malcolm X. Both of them had similar legacies and their work is constantly compared in conversations.

We’re eagerly waiting for this one.

4. The Umbrella Academy Season 4

That’s sad news for Umbrella Academy fans. The fourth season will be its last. In this season the band will deal with their problems while navigating their mission as a team.

We don’t want to give any spoilers, so we’ll stop right here and let you watch it yourself when it’s released.

3. The Regime

The Succession has left a big hole in the small screen world. But don’t worry, The Regime will fill the jet-black humor gap in your life. The executive producers of Succession will be reunited in this project, revolving around a power struggle.

Kate Winslet plays as the chancellor of a powerful organization controlled by a handful of people. The organization is in its last moments of power and the chancellor will do anything to save the oligarchy.

A treat for Succession lovers.
