How To Check Your iPhone's Manufacture Date

If you have an iPhone and you are just too curious to find out the manufacture date of your device, then you have landed at the right place. Checking the manufacturing date of your device is not a big deal. To check the iPhone manufacturing date you just need to know the serial number of your iPhone. Let’s see how to check the serial number of the iPhone first and then how this serial number helps in finding out the manufacture date of the handset. Here we share a guide on how to check your iPhone’s manufacture date:

Step 1

Tap on “Settings” icon > General > About. Then note the serial number of your device like the screen-shots below:

Step 2

Now you just have to note the 3rd, 4th, and 5th digits of the iPhone’s serial number to know the manufacture date of the iPhone. So in the iPhone screenshot below the 3rd digit is ‘0’ shows the manufacturing year ‘2010’ and the 4th-5th digits ’21’ shows the manufacturing week, the 21st week. So the iPhone manufacture date is the 21st week of the year 2010.

Here is another example, if the serial number is xx742xxxxxx then the manufacturing year is 2007 and the 42nd week.

Remember, the process is the same irrespective of the iPhone model and iOS version you have.
