Last year, we got some of the best TV series, like Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, Baby Reindeer, and Doctor Who. Some really good cinema is on the way this year. Here’s our list of the most anticipated TV series of 2025 that fans across the globe are talking about.

 

15. Daredevil: Born Again

Disney+ is officially taking charge of the beloved 2015-2018 Netflix series Daredevil. Daredevil: Born Again follows Matt Murdock as he continues his fight for justice in New York City. During all this, he has to deal with his past traumas and face the return of his biggest enemy, Wilson Fisk.

The show goes deeper into each character’s dark side, including Matt’s friends Karen and Foggy. We really loved the Netflix series, let’s see if Disney can match the bar that Netflix has set for them. 

 

14. Blade Runner 2099

Blade Runner 2049 was a success back in 2017 and was the origin of a lot of sad memes starring Ryan Gosling. Blade Runner 2099 is set fifty years after the events of the former movie and will be released in 2025. The new installment comes with new characters and a new cast. Michelle Yeoh plays Olwen, a replicant facing the end of her life, and Hunter Schafer plays Cora. 

The series digs deeper into the implications of artificial intelligence and replicants. Fans eagerly await the new concepts the series will bring to the Blade Runner Universe. 

 

13. Alien: Earth

Alien: Earth is a sci-fi horror television series created by Noah Hawley. It will premiere on FX on Hulu in the summer of 2025. The series is a prequel to the original Alien film and is set in the near future. The story follows Wendy, a young woman, and a group of tactical soldiers who discover a mysterious vessel that has crash-landed on Earth. They soon find themselves face-to-face with the greatest threat to Earth.

Alien was one of the greatest movies that came out in the 1980s. Let’s see if the series does justice to the legacy and holds true to the anticipation of fans.

 

12. Criminal

This one is based on the comic book of the same name that was written by Ed Brubaker and illustrated by Sean Phillips. The show follows multiple generations of criminal families that are connected through time with their shared criminal history. The main characters include Leo Patterson (Charlie Hunnam), a criminal mastermind who plans his jobs to avoid violence, Greta (Adria Arjona), a car thief, and Mallory (Emilia Clarke), an armed robber. 

The series has a very good character development (if the TV series follows the comics), and it takes you deep into the dark pasts of the characters, exploring the murders that connect them.

 

11. Chad Powers

Chad Powers is based on the sketch produced by NFL Films and Omaha Productions as part of the Eli’s Places series. It follows Russ Holiday, a disgraced college quarterback who disguises himself as Chad Powers and walks into a struggling southern football team to revive his football career.

This series is one of the most anticipated comedy series of 2025. If you’ve watched and loved Ted Lasso, you’ll love this one.

 

10. The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call

The show is a South Korean medical comedy series based on the web novel Trauma Center: Golden Hour by Hansanleega. It stars Ju Ji-hoon as Baek Kang-hyuk, a brilliant trauma surgeon who joins a struggling university hospital. His exceptional skills and unorthodox methods make the staff uneasy in the beginning, causing friction with them. Gradually, his confidence and dedication win them over. Then he guides them into becoming a leading trauma team.

To sum up the show: The Good Doctor with a comedic twist. 

 

9. The Pitt

The Pitt refers to the fictional Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital shown in the 2025 TV series The Pitt. Each episode covers one hour of a single 15-hour emergency department shift at the hospital. The main character, Dr Michael “Robby” Robinavitch (Noah Wyle), is a senior attending physician still recovering from his traumatic experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The show shows the daily lives of the professionals at the hospital as they juggle workplace politics, personal crises, and the emotional toll of treating critically ill patients. The show is a testament to the resilience that healthcare professionals show in order to hold up to their noble calling.

 

8. Devil May Cry

If you’re a fan of the Devil May Cry game series or a fan of fantasy games in general, you should look forward to the Devil May Cry 2025 TV Series. The show will premier on Netflix on April 3, 2025.

Dante (voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch) seeks vengeance for the death of his family. The eight episodes will take us through the journey with Dante as he tackles hurdles, investigates, and tracks down the people responsible.

 

7. Paradise

Dan Fogelman, the man behind ‘This Is Us’, is set to launch his new political thriller Paradise in 2025. The show is set in an underground bunker three years after a doomsday event. 

The President of the United States, Carl Bradford (James Marsden), is mysteriously murdered. US Secret Service Agent Xavier Collins (Sterling K. Brown) investigates the murder. As he goes deeper into the case, he finds secrets and conspiracies that shake the nation’s very foundation. 

 

6. Suits: L.A.

Suits has been one of the most famous TV series of the past decade. The latest spin-off takes place in Los Angeles and follows Ted Black (Stephen Amell). Ted is a former prosecutor who reinvented himself as a high-end entertainment lawyer. When Ted’s firm hits a crisis, he has to navigate the challenges of the entertainment industry and its legal complexities while dealing with his mysterious past.

The cast includes Josh McDermitt as Stuart Lane, Lex Scott Davis as Erica Rollins, and Bryan Greenberg as Rick Dodsen. The legendary Harvey Specter will also make a guest appearance, played by the OG Gabriel Macht.

 

5. The Residence

Inspired by Kate Andersen Brower’s book, The Residence: Inside the Private World of the White House, Paul William has created The Residence for Netflix. The story revolves around a murder scandal, and the main suspects are the staff of the White House. Cordelia Cupp (Uzo Aduba), an unorthodox detective, arrives at the premises of the White House to solve the murder that occurred during a state dinner. As her investigation gets deeper, she uncovers dark secrets and interpersonal conflicts among the 157 personnel of the White House.

If you’re into politics, presidents, and the elites, this TV series will be an entertainer for you this summer.

 

4. The Studio

The Studio is about a fictional studio called the Continental Studios and highlights the struggles of balancing arts and business in Hollywood. Matt Remick (Seth Rogen) is appointed the new head of the studio in a time when the industry is going through rapid social and economic changes. He and his team of executives navigate through the brutal yet mesmerizing entertainment industry to try and keep the studio afloat.

The show will give you plenty of laughs and insights into the glamorous entertainment industry.

 

3. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms

This is like a prequel to Game of Thrones. The series is based on the Game of Thrones author’s Tale of Dunk and Egg novellas. 

Ser Duncan the Tall, a tall and somewhat Naive knight, and his squire Egg travel through Westeros about  90 years before the events of the Game of Thrones. The Iron Throne is still in the power of the Targaryen dynasty, but the dragons are extinct now. 

The series focuses more on character development and smaller-scale conflicts compared to Game of Thrones it still promises plenty of adventure and action.

 

2. IT: Welcome to Derry

It: Welcome to Derry TV series serves as a prequel to the first two chapters of the IT franchise. It is set in the 1960s and shows the origins of Pennywise the Clown and the dark history of the town of Derry, Maine.

We go on a journey of horror with a group of teenagers who encounter the horrifying presence of Pennywise and the horrors that hide in the mysterious town.

 

1. Prime Target

White Lotus’ Leo Woodall stars as Edward Brooks, a genius mathematician who, in his pursuit of a prime number breakthrough, finds the key to accessing every computer in the world. This rings a bell in the NSA, and they send Taylah Sanders to stop him. Along the way, they find out that they are part of a bigger conspiracy.

This miniseries will keep you on the edge of your seat.
