15. Flow
A solitary animal, Cat, has its world upside down when a great flood devastates its home. Cat finds refuge on a boat along with other animals.
They make their way through mystical flooded landscapes while facing many dangers and challenges. They learn to adapt to their new surroundings and survive through the catastrophe.
14. Emilia Pérez
This movie is breaking stereotypes. Not only is the Druglord in this movie actually a Druglady but she also wants to lead a better life. The fearsome cartel leader Emilia does not want to lead the life she is living. So she hires Rita, an underdog lawyer, to help fake her death.
With a new life and Rita’s help, she starts to find the bodies of people who have gone missing due to cartel violence.
Will Emilia be able to escape the cartel life that easily or will it come back to stab her in the back?
13. The Extraordinary Miss Flower
Don’t judge her by her name. That is exactly what Emiliana found out about Miss Flower. The movie beautifully portrays Geraldine Flower’s potential double life as a spy, through her collection of love letters. The film stars Emiliana Torrini as herself and Caroline Catz as Miss Flower.
What makes the movie experience unique is the blend of performance art and traditional storytelling. A great choice on the screenwriter’s and director’s part as the movie narrates historical events in a dramatized way.
12. The Brutalist
A visionary architect, László Toth, and his wife flee to Europe from the Holocaust and rebuild their legacy. They witness the birth of Modern America and get a mysterious wealthy client who changes their lives forever.
The charming industrialist Harrison Van Buren offers the famous couple the American Dream on a silver platter. He commissions them to design the landscape of the new country that he called home and to build a grand modernist monument.
This will be the biggest and most ambitious project of László that will take him to monumental heights and devastating lows.
11. The Outrun
This movie has a bit of ‘The Secret Life of Walter Mitty’ vibe. The Outrun is an adaptation of Amy Liptrot’s best-selling memoir. It follows Rona, a rehabilitated alcoholic who returns to the wild beauty of Scotland after completing her treatment.
As she reconnects with her roots, memories of her childhood emerge. The movies show flashbacks of her childhood and challenging recent past, crafting a beautiful story of her life.
The film forces you to contemplate your own life while enjoying the serene Scottish landscapes.
10. A Real Pain
A Real Pain explores themes of identity and loss as two estranged families confront their shared and tumultuous pasts. Through intertwining narratives, the film delves into the complexities of familial relationships and the enduring impact of unresolved grief.
Two estranged Jewish American cousins travel to Poland to honor their late grandmother. The mismatched cousins battle their own personal demons and old tensions resurface.
This comedy-drama is a powerful and intense piece of cinema. Give it a go, you’ll love it.
9. The Wild Robot
The first animated movie on the list. The Wild Robot movie is adapted from the best-selling novel of the same name. Roz is a robot whose ship is wrecked on an uninhabited island. She adapts to her surroundings for survival and builds relationships with local wildlife on the island.
While on the island, she develops an unlikely bond with an orphaned goose named Brightbill and eventually becomes Brightbill’s adoptive mother.
8. Deadpool & Wolverine
Deadpool and Wolverine are possibly the most unorthodox superheroes in the Marvel world. A movie with both of them equals action, thrill, and comedy. A man named Paradox approaches Deadpool as he intends to vaporize his world because it is no longer supposed to exist after the death of Wolverine.
To stop him from destroying his world, Deadpool kidnaps another version of the Wolverine to replace but this only makes Paradox furious. He banishes Deadpool and Wolverine. Now the duo have to find a way to save themselves while trying to save the world.
7. Joker: Folie à Deux
The Joker is the most loved villain in the DC universe. Getting worldwide recognition from Heath Ledger’s iconic portrayal of the Joker in Batman: The Dark Knight, he deserved a movie of his own. Joaquin Phoenix played the Joker in the 2019 movie ‘Joker’ he has again come to the cinema screen as the Joker in ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’
Arthur Fleck is institutionalized at Arkham as he is awaiting trial for his atrocious crimes as the Joker. There he falls in love with two things: a fellow patient and the music that’s always been inside him. What will be Arthur’s fate after the trial and what will happen to his alter ego, the Joker?
6. Wicked
Another blockbuster from the Land of Oz. This 2024 fantasy romance is directed by Jon M. Chu.
The story follows the unlikely friendship of Elphaba, a girl born with green skin and ostracized because of her appearance, and Glinda, a privileged aristocrat. Elphaba eventually becomes the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda becomes Glinda the Good.
5. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga
Now, she has her own movie ‘ Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga’ directed by George Miller. The movie shows a young Furiosa who is abducted from the Green Place of Many Mothers. She is captured by the great Horde of Bikers which is led by Warlord Dementus.
When a war for dominance over the Citadel starts, Furiosa survives many dangers and plots an escape to return to her homeland. Will she be able to escape? Even if she did, the harsh wasteland would be enough to kill her. Let’s see what fate has installed for her.
4. Inside Out 2
One of the best movies that came out this year is Inside Out 2. The story jumps to Riley’s fresh teenage years where headquarters in her mind are undergoing sudden demolition. The reason? To make room for new emotions: Envy, Ennui, Embarrassment, and Anxiety.
These new occupants will give Joy and the original team a hard time keeping headquarters in control. The movie highlights important topics like healthy emotional expression and growth.
You’ll have a fun time watching Riley’s journey into adolescence. We recommend you watch Inside Out first to have a holistic experience of Riley’s exciting journey.
3. The Substance
The entertainment industry is not all sunshine and rainbows as you may think. Elizabeth learns this the hard way when she is unceremoniously dumped for her age.
Then she learns of a mysterious black market product called ‘The Substance’ which can create a younger version of herself. In hopes of reviving her dead career, she uses the product but she is not ready for the consequences of the disturbing nature of the misuse of the product.

The perfect movie for Dan Brown’s Novel Fans. Conclave is based on the most secretive and ancient event in the world that is still continuing till date. Selecting a Pope.
Cardinal Lawrence is appointed to perform the tremendous task of leading the election of the Pope. Things don’t go as smoothly as the Cardinal hoped and he finds himself at the center of a conspiracy that may destroy the foundations of the Catholic Church.
This movie is not only entertaining but also allows you to understand the dynamics of the largest religion in the world.
1. Dune: Part Two
The critically acclaimed best-selling novel of Frank Herbert was adapted into a movie in 2021. The remaining half part of the famous story was released in cinemas this year.
Dune: Part Two explores Paul’s journey of vengeance as he unites with Chani and the Fremen. Paul tries to prevent a terrible future that only he can see while dealing with a dilemma. He needs to choose between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe.
