The Walt Disney Company has announced on its 109th birthday a major social media milestone that it has surpassed one hundred million fans across its more than200 official brand, property and character Facebook Fan Pages.
Disney is a Dow 30 company having revenues of about $38 billion (in its most recent fiscal year).
The company has been posting regularly to Facebook since August of 2009 and has managed to gather 60 million “Likes” across its various Facebook fan pages (which include Disney, Disney Pixar, Toy Story, Alice in Wonderland, Dory, and Mickey) in the first year. Currently, Disney Facebook pages attract a jaw-dropping 5 million+ new fans per week.
