More popularly known as Captain America, Massachusetts-born Chris Evans is a well-known Hollywood figure, especially revered by Marvel comics fans. The blue-eyed American actor, started his career in 2000, featuring in the TV series Opposite Sex. The 42-years-old has since then been a part of many hit movies with his roles as Captain America and Human Torch in Fantastic Four being the most famous. Without further ado, we take a look at the 15 best Chris Evans movies of all time:

This comedy venture is directed by Brian Robbins and conveys a good message in the guise of comedy that grades and SAT scores do not ensure happiness.

One of the six students is played by a young Chris Evans named Kyle. Starring along with him as another student is another big movie industry icon, Scarlett Johansson, who plays the role of Francesca Curtis.

He might even have found someone to serve a purpose greater than the script. But there is a catch, she is already engaged. This character who wins Chris Evans’ heart is played by the beautiful Michelle Monaghan.

Desperate to prove it wrong, she starts the daunting task of revisiting her old boyfriends to see who might click as the right one. Helping her in her mission is her neighbor and a womanizer named Colin Shea, a character played well by Chris Evans.

The quartet uses its superpowers which include Susan Storm’s (Jessica Alba) stunning looks, to which the Surfer seems to have a liking, to listen to sense, and finally help them.

But even these five highly skilled men need a beautiful woman who comes in the form of Aisha (Zoe Saldana, the actress from Avatar) to guide them out of Bolivia and exact their revenge on Max, who has been developing green weapons of mass destruction, that causes no pollution when used.

A young man named Ryan, played by Chris Evans, gets a call from a woman who claims to have been kidnapped and her husband and child are next on the list. After a while, Ryan starts taking her seriously and convinces a cop, played by William Macy to join his cause.

Both lawyers take up the case but watch in dismay as all doors on them slowly close.

Set in the 1960s, this is a biopic directed by Ariel Vromen. Based on the life of Richard Kuklinski, shows how he initially worked as an adult movie distributor and was then recruited as a hired gun. The cold-blooded contract killer has a reputation for being highly unsympathetic and professional in his duty.

He is married and has children, who have no clue about his profession as Richard has kept his family life and profession strictly apart.

Trouble arrives when Richard starts working for another boss, a violence-loving maniac who goes by the title of Mr. Freezy (played by Chris Evans). Finding it hard to keep things hidden anymore, Richard is eventually caught by the authorities.

This is every Marvel comic fan’s dream to see Captain America (Chris Evans), the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), the Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), and everyone’s favorite the Ironman (Robert Downey Jr.), all in one movie.

This sci-fi action thriller is written and directed by Joss Whedon. The plot is simple Thor’s brother Loki has got hold of the cube of energy, called Tesseract, and intends to open the gateway to his universe and destroy Earth.

The superheroes all assemble under the command of Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), who heads S.H.I.E.L.D. The prospect of watching all of these superheroes team up against a mutual enemy drove fans to the cinema like crazy and the movie made a whopping $1.52 billion at the box office! The movie was also nominated for an Oscar in Best Achievement in the Visual Effects category.

 

2. Snowpiercer (2013)

This critically acclaimed sci-fi action movie is written and directed by the South Korean Joon Ho Bong. Starring Chris Evans in the lead as Curtis, the movie is set shortly when humankind makes its final try to end global warming only to see it backfire and send Earth back to an ice age.

A super train built by a billionaire, Wilford (Ed Harris), which travels globally and is not affected by the weather outside has the only survivors on board.

As everywhere in the world, the train compartments are set by classes the rich near the head and all the poor cramped in the later compartments.

A revolt is planned and Curtis takes the lead, helped along by an engineer who helped design the train and a few others. The movie has commendable visuals, a good story, and dark humor that makes you realize the desperateness of the situation.

Waking up to the modern world after WWII heroics, Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) a.k.a. Captain America finds it hard to adjust. However soon, he faces a new enemy by the name of Winter Soldier who kills Nick Fury, head of S.H.I.E.L.D. Not only is Nick dead, but S.H.I.E.L.D. has also been taken over by enemies who brand Captain America as a traitor.

With only the Black Widow as his loyal aide, he must get to the bottom of this mess and face off with the winter soldier. With $714 million at the box office, an Oscar nomination for Best Achievement in Visual Effects, and almost perfect scores by all critics, The Winter Soldier makes the best movie of Chris Evans’ career.
