Microsoft just recently has revealed its plan to sell Windows 8. As expected and announced by the company, the official name of the upcoming version of Windows is “Windows 8”. Other than that, the company has also revealed a number of different editions for the new Windows, their kinds, their uses, and their names as well.
Windows 8 features three main editions – Windows 8, Windows 8 Pro and Windows RT, as reported by Mashable.
The simple Windows 8 is runnable on all PCs without any concern to it being 32-bit or 64-bit. It features everything which an ordinary PC should have for example Internet Explorer, Metro applications, Xbox Live hub, and the list goes on. One fascinating thing about it is that it gives the user the opportunity to add more background images that are able to extend across multiple displays.
For the business environment, Windows 8 Pro will definitely be the right choice. This version of the upcoming Windows offers its users the unique features of booting from a virtual hard drive, encrypting the file system, domain connectivity, and many other business-related passions or activities.
Last but certainly not the least, is the Windows RT (Run Time). It offers a free version of all the essential files of Microsoft Windows like Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, etc.
The future buyers of laptops will be a lot grateful to it as it is meant for end-to-end devices. In other words, it means that this Windows will already be installed on the laptops or PCs at the time of the purchase since Windows RT will unfortunately not be available separately.
Let’s hope this version of Windows proves to be much more successful than the previous ones as Microsoft has put in a lot of effort into making this version.
