Jelly Bean 4.1 is the latest update to the Android Operating System. Google announced it some days ago with the release of Nexus 7, which came out of the box running with the Jelly Bean. Jelly Bean has nothing much different from Ice Cream Sandwich in appearance but it fixes many of the lagging features of ICS as it has fixed the most irritating UI lag problem with the help of Project Butter which enables UI to run with 60 fps making it more smooth and buttery.
The devices running with Jelly Bean are more snappy and we can now even compare their smoothness with the smoothness of iOS. Google has done a pretty good job with Jelly Bean and its performance boost feature is just phenomenal and makes it the best version of Android till now.
Many of the newer devices are waiting to get this latest update and some of the devices have already got this update. It’s now Samsung’s Galaxy SII & SIII turn to get this latest update.
Galaxy SII was amongst the most famous smartphones from Samsung while its successor Galaxy SIII has also made its ground in less than just 2 months of its release and has reached the mark of 10 million sales. According to SamMobiles, tests are being carried out on both Galaxy SII, an oldie but goldie, along with its successor Galaxy SIII, one of the most powerful phones in Galaxy series. If tests get successful, SII and SIII will be seeing this update in the next couple of months.
Samsung’s very first tests were successful on both of the devices and chances are high that it will be updating both the devices in August or September with Jelly Bean.
News is still not confirmed but its quite obvious that Galaxy S3 will easily be getting the update because it is one of the most powerful phones on this planet, having an Exynos Quad-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, 8 MP camera and 4.8” Super AMOLED HD display. It can be regarded as a Powerhouse i.e. it can handle anything thrown at it. Users of Galaxy S2 should also not be getting worried because S2 also carries enough power to handle Jelly Bean easily on it.
Samsung has not given any public statements regarding the update of Jelly Bean on both devices.
If both S2 and S3 manage to get Jelly Bean updates then Galaxy Note too might be the next device from Samsung to get Jelly Bean because Samsung wants to update their HIGH-END devices as soon as possible.
