The Zynga’s FarmVille is now a go for iPad. Like the iPhone version, it’s free-to-play and relies on microtransactions. Now you have one other way to farm animals other than iPhones and Facebook. FarmVille for iPad has been named as FarmVille HD. It is free to download from the App Store.
Steven Chiang the president of Zynga Studios, said in a statement:
“We want to reach people wherever they want to play the games they love, and deliver the most fun and social experience on every platform. The iPad is a spectacular gaming device, and the new FarmVille app leverages its larger touch screen interface and enhanced graphics. FarmVille on the iPhone was an instant hit and now we are giving people another Apple device to play on.”
Previously, Zynga offered the iPhone version of the game in June & according to the company, the title sat atop the iTunes App Store’s top 25 games list for 50 days after its launch.
Now with the help of the iPad, Zynga hopes to build upon that success. But it’s hard to imagine a world where FarmVille can get much more popular. The title is played by more than 60 million people around the globe. And according to Zynga, players receive more than 500,000 gifts in the game each day. It is highly likely that an iPad version of the company’s Mafia Wars might get to the iPad as well.
A company spokesperson said:
“The iPad is a natural device for gaming. We are excited to bring more Zynga titles to the platform in the future.”
