Facebook unveiled a redesign for members’ profile pages on Sunday, making dramatic changes to the locations of key features and introducing some new ones as well. The following changes are made:
A New Introduction
The profile begins with a quick overview of basic information such as where you’re from, where you went to school, and where you work the kinds of conversation starters you share with people you’ve just met or exchange with old friends as you get reacquainted.
And since there’s often a no better way to learn about a person than through photos, the profile now includes a row of recently tagged photos of you.
Share your experiences
Give a more complete picture of how you spend your time, including your projects at work, the classes you take and other activities you enjoy. You can even include friends who share your experiences.
Discover common interests
Showcase the things you care about most and connect with friends who share the same interests, including sports teams, the people who inspire you and more. Your top interests now appear as a row of images just drag and drop to put your favorites first.
Highlight meaningful relationships
You can now highlight the friends who are important to you, such as your family, best friends or teammates. Create new groups of friends or feature existing friends lists.
