The unending battle between Facebook and Google+ continues. This time Facebook came up with a new thing, that is, people who use Facebook can now embed videos, photos, and even preview links on comments.
The Facebook announcement says:
“Today we are launching a commenting feature that allows you to embed videos, photos, or web sites in comments just by including a URL. Your comment will include a video player, a thumbnail of a photo, or a brief overview of the web site being linked to. If you prefer your comment without the preview, you can remove the preview with one click.”
You can add videos on comments by simply pasting its URL.
On the other hand, users can embed videos, pictures or links in Google+, which was launched by Google at the end of June. However, Google+ is pretty small as compared to over 750 million users of Facebook, but Google+ has hit the 20 million users mark in just three weeks, which is a good sign for the new Social Network.
