Amitabh Bachchan aka The Big B is a legend who has served for over 4 decades in Bollywood and has done all kinds of films including comedy, action, masala, and parallel cinema. He has the ability to play any role flawlessly and now the protagonist has finally decided to step out at the age of 68 to Hollywood. Amitabh is all set to make his Hollywood debut with Baz Luhrmann`s film – ‘The Great Gatsby’, which has ‘Titanic’ star Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead role.
Bachchan will play the role of Meyer Wolfsheim in this movie, declared by an official statement from Warner Bros Pictures. This project worths $125 million and is a 3D adaptation of the classic F. Scott Fitzgerald novel of the same name. Shooting of the movie began this week in Sydney.
Luhrmann, who made “Moulin Rouge”, and used Hindi song “Chhamma chhamma” in it said:
“Fitzgerald loved the movies and was a passionate believer in the power of cinema. ‘The Great Gatsby’ has been adapted for the screen no less than four times. Fitzgerald’s story defies time and geography. The vision and the goal of our remarkable cast and creatives is to do justice to the deftness of Fitzgerald’s telling, and illuminate its big ideas and humanity. This is our challenge and our adventure.”
The other cast of “The Great Gatsby” includes Tobey Maguire, Joel Edgerton and Carey Mulligan. The flick also welcomes newcomer Elizabeth Debicki.

This flick will be distributed in 3D and 2D by Warner Bros Pictures and in certain territories by Village Roadshow Pictures.
