We are extremely sad to share the news that one of the World’s Youngest Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) Arfa Karim now rests in peace. She died in CMH, Lahore. Her funeral prayer would be held tomorrow at 10 a.m (GMT +5) in Lahore Cantt. Arfa Karim got admitted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Lahore last month after she suffered a cardiac arrest after an epileptic seizure (causing serious brain damage). She remained in the state of a coma for 26 days before passing away today.

Her father, Amjad Karim Randhawa, who happens to be a Pakistan Army officer told Geo News about the death of her 16 year old daughter.

According to recent reports, Bill Gates contacted Arfa’s father and proposed him flying Arfa to the US for the much needed care. However as she was on ventilator, Pakistani doctors concluded that it would be much riskier to fly Arfa to USA.

Arfa was a student of Lahore Grammar School Paragon Campus and was in her second year of A Levels.
