Samsung Introduces Galaxy Tab 7.7 and Galaxy Note

Samsung Mobile has recently unveiled two new products. Yes, you have guessed it right, one is the Galaxy Tab 7.7 which is the world’s first tablet that features a Super AMOLED Plus display. The other one is a 5.3″ smartphone/tablet called Galaxy Note aimed at the folks who wish to have tablet-like experience with the form factor of a smartphone. Both of these devices feature Super Amoled HD Plus Display with dual core processors. This news basically comes from the IFA event, held recently, where both the devices were introduced.
Lets us discuss both the devices in detail;
Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7

- As the name describes it is a 7.7″ tablet with 1280×800 Super AMOLED Plus display.
- It is based on Android 3.2 “Honeycomb” with Samsung’s custom TouchWiz UX running on top.
- It packs a dual-core 1.4GHz Exynos chip with 1GB of RAM and 16/32/64GB of storage.
- It has a 3MP camera on the back with a 2MP camera on the front for video chatting and casual photographs.
- Video Capabilities include MPEG4, H.263, H.264, WMV, DivX, Xvid (1080p FullHD video @ 30fps).
- It Weighs mere 334 grams.
- The Tab sports 5,100mAh battery which is rated at 10 hours for video playback.
- Besides this, you get the standard Bluetooth, WiFi, HSPA+ connectivity and microSD card slot that we’ve become used to seeing on all Android tablets.
Samsung Galaxy Note

- The 5.3″ Super AMOLED HD Plus display on the Galaxy Note pushes 285 pixels per inch at a resolution of 1280×800.
- The Galaxy Note is based on Android 2.3.5 “Gingerbread” with Samsung’s TouchWiz UX running on top.
- It packs the same dual-core 1.4GHz Exynos chip that is inside the Galaxy Tab with 1GB of RAM, 16/32GB internal storage.
- There is an 8MP rear-facing camera along with a 2MP front facing one.
- Video capabilities include MPEG4, H.264, H.263, WMV, DivX, Xvid, VC-1, Recording 1080p@24~30fps, Playing 1080p@30fps.
- Its only 9.65mm thick
- It light body weighting at 178 gram body carries a removable 2,500mAh battery.
- Connectivity-wise, the Galaxy Note comes with usual HSPA+, Bluetooth and WiFi.
- Samsung has also included a stylus called the S Pen for taking notes.
The greatest feature that these devices possess is the Super AMOLED Plus display. Thanks to Samsung’s advanced display technology, you’ll get to see amazing colors, crisp text and awesome viewing angles which are guaranteed to leave everyone impressed. The release dates of both the devices is not confirmed yet, but we expect them to be released later this year.
