Download Firefox 9.0.1 For Windows, Mac and Linux

Mozilla on Wednesday released the Firefox 9 Final Version to the pleasure of all of its fans out there but just after 24 hours of the release of Firefox 9, Mozilla pushed forward Firefox 9.0.1 to address a notorious bug that caused the browser to crash on Windows, Mac and Linux. The sudden release of a new update for Firefox 9 left many Firefox users confused.
Johnathan Nightingale, Mozilla’s director of Firefox engineering, told SCMagazineUS in an email on Thursday:
“We released the fix immediately to ensure that most of our users will only see a single update directly to Firefox 9.0.1,”
Firefox 9.0.1 essentially offers the same features offered by Firefox 9.0 which include:
- enhanced JavaScript performance (20% to 30%)
- two finger swipe gesture for page navigation (Mac OS X)
You can grab Firefox 9.0.1 from the links provided below and if you have already downloaded and installed Firefox 9.0 then you can upgrade to Firefox 9.0.1 by clicking on “Apply Update” after going to ”About Firefox” present in the Help menu (like shown below):
