The 14 year old viral sensation Rebecca Black in a recent interview on ABC’s Nightline has revealed that she had to quit her middle school because of facing constant bullying from her classmates.

Black told ABC News:

“When I walk by, they’ll start singing ‘Friday’ in a really nasally voice … Or, you know, they’ll be like, ‘oh hey, Rebecca, guess what day it is?’”

Rebecca got worldwide attention for her viral song “Friday” which amassed more than 167 million views on YouTube (later removed by Rebecca) and created a media frenzy. The song quickly rose up the dirty ranks and became number one candidate for “Worst Song Ever”. It got hundreds of parodies on YouTube and hundreds and thousands of dislikes (most disliked video on YouTube) within days of its launch.

Although mainstream celebs like Katy Perry and Lady Gaga supported her “Friday” and black herself poked fun at her song’s vacuous lyrics.

Rebecca recently released her second song “My Moment” on YouTube which is somehow maintaining 2:1 ratio between dislikes and likes.
